Dr. Shoop is a nationally recognized forensic expert in the area of legal issues, with a focus on sexual harassment and abuse prevention, employment law and risk management. He has appeared as a guest on CNN, The Today with Katie Couric, the Today Show with Matt Lauer, ABC's 20/20, MSNBC with Lester Holt, CNN, Day and Date, the Jim Bohannon Show, The Oliver North Show, The Mark Furman Show, The Mark Walberg Show, ESPN's Outside the Lines with Bob Ley, and Fox News with Greg Kelly. He is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for "Educator's Guide to Controlling Sexual Harassment".

Having served as a forensic expert witness in over 100 court cases, Dr. Shoop brings very specific reality based information about how ensure a safe working environment while at the same time avoiding litigation. He is familiar with the unique challenges faced by members of the American Feed Industry, having served as a speaker at past national and regional conferences.

Since 1976, Shoop has been a professor at Kansas State University and Senior Scholar in the Leadership Studies program. He is the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Professor and the Outstanding Undergraduate Professor Awards. In addition, he is president of Quality Work Environments, Inc., a professional consulting group. He serves as a consultant to school districts, universities and corporations in the area of standards of care and harassment and abuse prevention. He has conducted training for school districts, universities, corporations, and professional associations across the country

He is the author of over 100 journal articles, monographs and book chapters, and has produced six educational video programs including: Sexual Harassment: What is it and Why Should Care? Sexual Harassment: It's Hurting People, and Preventing Sexual Harassment. These productions have received national and international recognition including: First Place Award 1996 National Council of Family Relations Annual Media Competition, 1996 Gold Award of Merit, Houston Film Festival, 1995 Golden Camera Award, International Film and Video Festival.
